Herries emigrated to New Zealand and became a farmer near Te Aroha. He was elected to Parliament for the Bay of Plenty in 1896, and for Tauranga from 1908 to 1923 when he died. He was the Minister of Native Affairs from 1912 to February 1921, and held many other ministerial position. Very Scarce not mentioned in Bagnalls. CONDITION Blue Wine cloth with bright Gilt titles (unworn with edge speckling) 70 pages printed on quality rag paper stock, frontis portrait with clean tissue guard and 8 half tone photo illus.
