It begins in September 1939 with the Nazi blitzkrieg, describing the hunger, forced labor and death. Described the communal life in defiance and record of Jewish life under Nazi rule. CONDITION Blue bds with crisp gilt title, not worn, map eps, tidy name to title page, pp 329 very tight and clean with b/w frontis plate, original wrapper iis not price clipped, mild wear to edges with a small chip to spine head and tape to reinforce spine heel. An excellent copy. Near Fine/Very Good.
